13th LTC 1st Regular Session Opening Day

The 13th Lelu Town Council convened its 1st Regular Session with Chairman Hon. Nedlic presiding. The opening day began once a quorum was established, marking the formal start of the council’s legislative work for the term.

Chairman Nedlic set the tone for the session by assigning committee responsibilities to each member, ensuring that the council’s work would be organized and collaborative. The appointments were as follows:

• Hon. Palik – Chairman of the Committee of the Whole (COW)

• Hon. Thomson – Floor Leader

• Hon. Luckymis – Judiciary & Government Operations (J&GO)

• Hon. Esau – Ways & Means

• Hon. Tilfas – Health, Education, and Social Affairs (HESA)

• Hon. Skilling – Research & Development (R&D)

These assignments reflect the council’s commitment to addressing diverse areas of governance, from fiscal oversight and legislative procedure to social services and innovation. The structured distribution of responsibilities is expected to strengthen deliberations and enhance accountability throughout the session.

The opening day underscored the council’s readiness to advance its legislative agenda, with members poised to collaborate across committees in service of Lelu Town’s development and representation.
